Any opinions? And does anyone else know about the second option?

It's a popular humorous fantasy series, by Terry Pratchett. There are 30-something books (and total sales over 55 million worldwide apparently). Although I'm not generally a fan of fantasy I do enjoy them. There's extensive information on it on Wikipedia.
The books are worth a try by the way. Even if you're as cold towards fantasy as I am, I could give you the titles of a few that are good.

I voted inquizition. I've heard of the Discworld series, but never got around to reading them as yet. Well actually I did read one but I didn't like it much so I didn't read any others.
Anyway the point is that you won't find too many people here who would relate to that.

Yeah, that's why I had a poll. I won't do it if there aren't many people who know what I'm talking about.
Out of interest, which one did you read? They are a bit of a mixed bag.

I haven't heard of Discworld before, though it does sound somewhat interesting. However, I voted Spanish.

The first one ( color of magic ). That was a long time back and I read it only halfway.
Also, Inquisition is not a particularly nice thing. And we don't need 2 dark themes in a row, do we?

Dunno, the Inquisition sounds dark and fun.

I can see why you didn't finish it then. It's not exactly the best, the author has had 25 years to improve since then. If you want to give them another chance I recommend Going Postal. Yes we do.

I don't think so. If we keep on like that we'll get themes like 'KKK' , 'holocaust' , 'jihad' etc.
Point is that these are serious things that we shouldn't poke fun at ( which this forum is about ), and although I must say the communism and WW2 themes were admirably handled, it's better we keep things to fiction (say 1984 ).

You may be interested to know I was thinking more along the lines of the Monty Python Spanish Inquisition.

Oh, the 'burn the witch' in the holy grail movie?
And that would be British inquisition, because Arthur was nowhere near Spain..

I think Julius is a serial killer in rl. Every theme is about him getting rid of us one by one. Now we will all be dragged before his inquisition I think it is okay to have fun with the inquisition. Nobody makes fun of the holocaust or KKK, for two reasons. Mainly, it is recent. Also, racism is on a different level. Although to be fair, you are from a different place in the world than me. Here in the US/Canada, I consider myself to be religious, but I wouldn't get violent or worked up over it, and I would have a hard time finding someone who is (okay maybe not too hard, but these people are extreme minorities). Religion is a more hot button issue in Pakistan/India, so religious intolerence (like the inquisition), isn't as easy to laugh at perhaps.

Hey, I did what I had to. You can't have rebels running around the place. I'm more a tyrant than a serial killer, I'll have you know. They had a Spanish Inquisition sketch too, it's one of their mroe famous ones.

Really, Jatayu, it's just a forum game. But I understand your concerns...
