Updated with PTC.
Unfortunately none of us entered that Halloween contest or the ES remake contest.

The ES Remake contest sounded fascinating. I regret not entering an entry for it.

Me too, though my current project evolved from my entry-to-be for it. Ultimately I found the deadline to be far too constricting, as was evidenced by the fact that many people dropped out, and all of the completed entries either had bugs or were not of optimal quality.

Well done, HockeySam! The team's fine record in the MGC is continued.

Apologies, I totally forgot about the CDC 2016. It's entirely possible other things are missing too, possibly Writing Contests. A short while ago I added in a couple of MGCs I missed.
I think I'll add some fanciful commentary to the PTC section. It is after all clearly our strongest suit.

It's nice to see this updated. Like you said it's missing some of the Writing Competitions, though, namely: 2012 3rd place, "The Lady in Blue" by Lord Basse 2013 Judged by HockeySam 1st place, "The Farm", by Lord Basse 2015 Judged by Matt 2nd place, "The Castle on Amerun Hill", by Lord Basse You can see why I care.

Haha. This is basically our very own trophy hall, like the ones where Gallic chieftains would hang the pelts of animals they had slain...and the heads of enemies they had decapitated

I love how, despite the fact we have won basically everything there is to win in the last decade, we still find ways to paint ourselves as plucky underdogs and feel good stories. We are such a fun group!
Nice addition to our pantheon I must say.

Also, "2nd place: The Winter Storm, by Lord Basse" needs to be added to the classic contest.
Hard to believe it's been 7 years without an ACSC.

As you pointed out, the interest in cinematic scenarios has significantly dwindled over the past few years, owing to the new expansions and now HD, which took public interest to a more gameplay-oriented direction, which would mean less love for non-playable scenarios.
Though it'd be really nice to have 1 last ACSC. The ultimate battle.

Nice write-ups, Julius. Quite the entertaining reads There was an ACSC back in 2012, but I don't think anyone from SWS entered.

And no one from SWS hosted or judged? That hardly sounds government sanctioned.

Actually, both you and Julius judged it and Seb was the host. Also, if there is another ACSC, I'll probably whip up something just for the sake of it.

Basse, you don't just 'whip something up'. If you even think of entering, It changes the air around the contest considerably.

Lovely. With the way things are going these days, judging may be my singular mode of contribution to design contests for the foreseeable future, I fear :/

As a final testament to my hubris, the history section of my 2019 PTC entry is actually a stylized history of Stormwind Studios and the PTC, told as a sort of mythology. It's painfully long.

And that person should be you. I've already put up the results, but only you can write a true sequel to the History section of your entry.

Very well. But I can't edit the topic so add this:
It was named "A Contest Too Far" by some, and "Twilight of the Stormwind Gods" by others, but what was certain about PTC 2019 before it even began was that it would be a contest like no other before. Gone was the youthful enthusiasm that spawned Bargravia or Sagropieria or a later Smile No More, in days when merely excellent had been enough to win, when doing your best had been all anyone could ask of you. Past now also was 2017, an effort which had seen our Stormwind heroes bleed themselves dry to hold their thrones, their fingers raw to the bone even as they clutched their prizes. No, this was 2019, where perfection was mundane, where those who excelled above their wildest dreams were but stepping stones for even greater heroes to reach even mightier heights. In the six month maelstrom of the contest, the Lords of Stormwind battled not the field but each other, the world forgotten to them save the rivals three. Some will say they all won their eternal glory in that fight, while others will say they all slew one another, but no one can say for sure. For mere mortals dare not approach the smoldering thrones of Stormwind after that day, but cower beneath their might for ever and ever.
