ARGH! The AoK Editor sucks and I'm leaving it forever! I mean really! There's the random crashing, which is really lovely after you start creating something and within an hour, it crashes for no reason. Yeah, thanks Microsoft! Then there's also the constant problem of the task object trigger. You set the object, and then the editor assumes the area is another object! Why can't I just place the area under a few objects, like a building or something? Oh, and don't get me started on the bring object to object trigger. You select a unit, and once you select another unit, the game forgets what unit was selected first, which means that you have to reset that or just click the unit at least 10 times before it registers. What the heck? Screw AoK, it's all just broken! Screw you Microsoft! I'm done designing with AoK! jk I just spent the last 2 hours working on something and then it crashed just because I clicked the "Remove Object" trigger. Grr...

You are right that's a problem. You have to save each time you select an unit or an area, otherwise it messes things. Select unit, save, select area, save, select location, save... Meh !

I don't know, I've never had too much trouble. The task object problem can be got around by clicking away (eg look at a different trigger) straight after you've set the area. No need for repetitive saving.

Yeah, I haven't had any serious problems with the editor. The occasional crash from werid GAIA triggers at most.

I've had some problems with deleting random trees and getting an error, and I really hate the task object thing with selecting units, but otherwise things are alright.
Trigger Studio is another story.

[q]Trigger Studio is another story.[/quote] If Trigger Studio had an option to view the map as if it would be in the game (sorta like 3D mode in Doom Builder), I would probably use it a lot more.

I wouldn't say it sucks, but it does have a great many bugs.

Personally, I just click go to object/area/location after I've set it. If it doesn't work I set it again until it goes to correct object/area/location everytime I click them to go.

Yes, but when units are very close from each other, and if you want to retask only one to another location, it often mixes the units, select several instead of one, or messes the locations. At least for me. That's mostly when you want to change sth after; the first settings work generally OK.

*Hijacks thread*
My editor seems to have gone mad; Every tab I click seems to crash the game.
Is there no way to prevent all this?

That's really odd. You could try taking someone else's 30x30 map that does work and cleaning everything off it.
