Your obsession with this dark and depressing thingy is starting to scare me, Mashek.

I think it gives a nice change from all those cheery scenarios.

I bet his life is too dark and depressing to make cheery projects. Let's just call it an influence from the environment.

lol, I'm not a dark and depressed person. I mean, hey, I get my dark days but also my cheery ones. Plus my environment, well at least now it is, is very bright and warm as the full brunt of spring has finally arrived. (and about bloody time too) I honestly have no idea why I design dark scenarios, I think it has something to do with my own perspective when it comes to stories etc. E.g. my first story I ever came up with back when I was about 12 was dark... say now that I come to think about it every story I have ever come up with has been dark. Weird, huh? I always try to be realistic with my approach to stories, and usually sad stuff always comes up. Naturally it is dark when one looks at it. Now if you would excuse me Halo 3 awaits, as well as the Dead Wood series which is absolutely phenomenal.

Well, I have sent out my latest version of SoP to both Tanneur and Julius, which I hope, when they find the time to play, they will both enjoy it more so than last version.

Excellent, as I mentioned somewhere else I am quite busy at the moment, but I can absolutely guarantee you a report by the end of the week. High priority for my fellow team member.

How goeth ye progress?
You still seem to have the crash bug by the way, which is very annoying, especially on hard difficulty where you need to save as the slightest error can cause a hero to die or something else disastrous to happen.
I don't suppose there's an easy fix, but I have to say it would hurt what score I would award for playability. To be honest I would knock it down from a 5 to a 4.
I've tried various sneaky things but you seem to have most loopholes covered, apart from the ones I've already told you about. You might want to make it impossible to reach Akxarix when the reinforcements arrive though, probably with a continous spawn of 1hp enemy troops or something. Maybe an invisible barrier behind that too just to make sure.

Hey Julius, progress is very, very slow. These last few weeks before TAFE finishes for the year will be tough getting work in so I will be hardly designing. Still, I am trying to get onto those bugs you pointed out. I tell you what, I'd knock down for the save bug as well. I believe it is because of the many spawn loops. I read something that too many spawn triggers or something can cause crashes when saving as the information is too great or some baloney. I have already blocked the path to Wardrick by creating triggers both for player 1 and 4 similar to the one used for the wall breach which you said worked perfectly. I will soon create these all around the fort before proceeding to get the whole Wardrick arrive scene complete.

Any new updates Mashy? I seem to recall you saying it was almost finished.

Apart from the monthly string of lifely problems that had prevented me from finishing the game sooner, the game is just about %100 complete, save for the bugs. Now I just need to wait for the new copy of AoK that I bought to arrive at my doorstep before I can start designing again. So, yeah, I'll finish all the bugs and then send it over to people again for one last round of playtesting.

I started reading this thread and if I infer correctly, you have the save bug I have never encountered but my brother did. I debugged his for him, turned out to be dat editing problems. Anyway I was wondering if you still have the problem. If so, I might be able to get rid of it for you with AOKTS. I have a debugging process that usually works for me. Unless you have already solved the problem.

Matt, that is down-right excellent news! As soon as I get AoK installed again this week, I'll have a few looks at my work and then send her over. Hopefully you can fix the problem. Thank you.

He means he's still yet to earn his, well spot in the team so he's helping people out however he can. Anyway, I just received my new disc of AOK over the mail. I installed both that and the Conquerors, put my projects on, and everything works fine. So I'll be fixing my Redux up before sending it out to a few people. You guys have no idea how much I had yearned to see my scenarios again.

Aye, I admit it. Actually, not having AoK to go to at night for three months really gave me alot of invaluable spare time.

I can now draw a conclusion that most of you have become addicted to AoK. Its importance is now sharing place with oxygen, which you have to breathe everyday.

AoK is practically the only game I can play on this damned machine. Meh, I sit at the computer so long a day that I'm now using an oxygen tank to do my breathing for me.

That may be the reason why most have left for AoE III. AoK is hazardous -- it's addictive, and may take your precious daily lives away from your hands.
Anyway, now that you've got your disks, Mash, throw your life business away, and get the work done. ;D
