The real truth is, Andan, I barely sit at the computer, let alone play age! It's quite unfortunate actually, hardly any designing as I would like. Oh, and playing Age III is quite addictive by the way. MattSome progress ATM. However, i've had a busy week with your usual holiday fun and TAFE homework which is due very shortly. I'm still yet to send a scenario out to Julius now that I come to thing about it. Anyway, I'll try push to get a few more bugs done before sending it to you. The game overall is complete, but there are still many things toward the end that I'm still not happy with. Besides, I still have to rewrite all the stories I wrote for the game. That should be fun.

Update.
Okay, well, wow! I just played the game and it was quite fun --- not to brag about my own work! It just surprises me when I see anything at all in what I've created. Still, the game is 100 % complete, I'm just waiting to have some bugs fixed before I'll send it out to Matty12345 which should be next weekend sometime. Around then, I also hope to have Kraken Wood sent out to Julius.

Well get a move on then! You know what our team is really, really good at? Beginning massive epic scenarios that are in progress for over a year, and yet seem no closer to being released. SWS blows all other teams out of the water in that respect.

Well,Mashek, I would love to tell you I solved your bug, but there is one problem: There isn't one, at least for me there isn't. I saved 15 or so times every few minutes and never came close to a crash. I do have a guess though. Do you have a crappy computer? Like 256MB of RAM or something. I was using an average computer (1.6Ghz processor, 1.5 GB RAM) and no problems. You have a zillion looping triggers and so many units it might be too much information for a poor computer. Although Julius had the bug as well, so he would have to be equally challenged in the computer department. BTW, I am sure you know of most of your bugs, but I thought I would mention a couple things: 1. I would make it so the king can't wander too far from the tower. I was able to evacuate him from the city and hide him 2. After killing Wardwick, the city is still chock full of enemies and they don't evacuate very well. Worse they are still fighting. The first time I played, there was a conversation between my king (who wasn't there, I had hid him in the trees) and the scout (who got killed as he was speaking by the people who never retreated). Quite humorous actually I did replay it and see the conversation properly 3. The enemy can capture the tower and nothing happens. Other than that very nice. I love the sounds and dialogue. Your usual high quality. It is awfully laggy at points but that is hard to avoid with these giant siege scenarios. When is part two going to be finished?

No, mine is actually rather better than yours . We may be looking at different files though, my most recent SoP is from way back.

1.5 GB RAM is way more than average Though desktops can afford more than laptops.. So when will this be complete?

Well, he said that it's 100% complete, so as soon as the bugs are all fixed and taken care of, then it should be ready for launch. Finally, after quite a while our team can bring something epic to the table.

1.5 GB RAM is way more than average Though desktops can afford more than laptops.. So when will this be complete? It is a laptop actually. But you need 1.5 or so for Vista. And don't yell at me for using Vista, it is too much of a hassle for me to switch back. I would have to get a downloaded copy of XP, err buy one for lots and lots of money. Plus I like certain things about Vista.

Why yell? Once you get used to Vista, and the bugs are gone, I'm sure it works well, surely better than with XP in some situations. Still, I haven't tried it for longer than 20 minutes or so myself so I don't know very much, apart for the bad sides which have been basooned out on the internet and in magazines . But I'm sure it works well once the service packs and upgrades are out, just like with XP and the older ones.

Not quite the average computer, but yes a pathetic 256 mb RAM cpu. There's really not that many units, nor looping triggers but I would have guessed all along it was something to do with the amount of info the cpu was receiving that caused the random save crashings. Now how on earth did that happen? lmao. I haven't actually played the siege from a different POV yet, e.g. from within the city - and thus present triggering will hardly cover any enemy soldiers caught inside. I guess I'll have to do all that last. Also, I'm thinking of just cutting out the scout section and including it in the victory instead. Save the player time. Huh? I've tested it at least two-three times and it worked fine. Maybe a trigger is missing which activates it all. I'll go see. Ta. Thanks for the compliment. I guess the awfully laggy bit you mean was when the reinforcements arrive? That's certainly when my cpu goes bonkers. Probably never. I still have two half completed cut-scenes to finish too. Anyway, thank you for going over it. At least we can now centre what is causing the save bug.

Yep that was the only really bad point.
The tower thing I think happens at the end, there was some units still in the city and the captured the tower (after reinforcements).
If you can narrow the save bug down to a 6 minute span or so you can just tell the player that in the instructions. I don't think I would mark it down for the bug if it was confined to that.

Mashek, you'd better release yours quickly because we havent had any good games at all this year ( maybe apart from morgoth's LOTR thing but even that wasn't much good. ) Looking forward to it..

I don't think I've actually downloaded any proper scenario this year. What's worthwhile?

I plan to release something this year, but I have about four or five projects (it's no fun for me if I work on only one, too much like actual work) that it might be. Rated 3.4 though, by what I consider a generous reviewer ( ). I'll pass.
