If you like cut-scenes (and yes, we all know of the long line of cinematic scenarios that will never see a complete version - but anyway) I would highly recommend downloading and watching 'the Spirit of Alessia' by Sebastien Alexander. Very well made, and the story is implemented really well, and I feel it really leaves one wanting more.

*cough* Yeah, The Spirit of Alessia is like 2010's Legends of Chila.

Yes, watched it twice, and I know where he's going with it...

*cough* Yeah, The Spirit of Alessia is like 2010's Legends of Chila. High praise indeed, might even make me bother to check it. Also, hi everyone, been ages since I check this place out. Pretty dead I guess. I'm toying with the idea of designing something small for AoK. If Jorgito ever finishes his Middle Earth mod I might do something with it.

Once I finish "The Prince, the Sword, and the Gems" then if you want you can download that.

Do I hear shameless self-promotion? Seriously though, I'll play it when it comes out. As for The Spirit of Alessia, I've heard a lot of praising but haven't watched it yet. Perhaps I should?

An old idea, but pretty impressive cutscene.

I thought it was mediocre actually. What was all the fuss about?

It just seemed to blend together nicely. It had good sound fx and a pretty good story. Also the map looked very pretty IMO.

The sound effects were fine but they don't make a good scenario. The story didn't hold me at all, it was just an invasion followed by a load of spiritualish stuff. I don't actually mean any disrespect to the designer but it wasn't my cup of tea.

Really? I don't see many differences between Alessia and Shadows.

You're right up to the point where all this hippy stuff about trees and well, the spirit of Alessia, came in.

Where Shadows after Sunset was fantasy, Alessia leaned towards, or rather openly proclaimed itself as New Age and spiritualist.

Yeah, and that stuff is massively over-rated by the AoKH community it would seem.

I see you have grown a dislike for a certain website that starts with 'AoK' and ends with 'eaven' today. But then again, I can empathize, seeing as I had to deal with this thread that spilled out of SD today.

You observe accurately. That thread... Jesus Christ. You and Thunder are literally the only people there who took a sensible view. Morgoth was at least merely unfunny though - well done him.

Heh, it honestly hadn't clicked. Spiritualist/New Age, all fantasy to me. But yeah, I hated the worship of the female deity wallaby crap.
