It's been a year since I last did this. So...
January:
Theme: Warthogs (Seriously)
I posted the last version of this thread.
February:
Theme: I Salute You! (Communism)
Jatayu accepted an invitation to the team. In 2007 he had won the Mini Game Contest, increasing SWS's haul of medals further.
March:
Theme: Vobin Hood's Merry Men
Matty, winner of ACSC07, accepted an invitation to join the team. Thus did SWS go from having no modding capability at all to having practically all the modders there are. Also, Jatayu began work on his revolutionary tool ModWorkshop.
April:
Theme: Star Wars
May:
Theme: Simpsons
June:
Theme: Manifest Destiny
Lord Basse scooped the Mini Game Contest. The fact that it was judged by fellow members Mashek and Julius had nothing to do with it.
July:
Theme: WW2
The original host team of SWS returned, and several people immediately joined DGDN. Among them were several SWS members. Traitors.
August:
Theme: The Matrix
By now Mashek was an HG Angel and Scud and Basse were both Cherubs. With the later two's excellent fortnightly features they are certainly showing their worth.
September:
Theme: The Spanish Inquisiton (aka Julius' fourth killing spree)
While the ACSC took a year's break, Mashek instead hosted the PTC. In September, the results were announced, with yours truly winning in a shock result, and two other SWS members (Scud and Basse) also placing in the top few. Andan would no doubt have joined us, but was a tad late.
October:
Theme: Scumbag Lane (Yep. Another Basse theme)
Jas the Mace joined the team.
November:
Theme: Microsoft
The third installment of Piece by Piece was begun, with Julius hosting it. Many SWS members have signed up and contributed.
December:
Theme: Stormwind Guide to the Galaxy
The year ended with myself dropping out of the DTS contest (again), run by Jatayu, and becoming a judge (again) alongside matty. Sadly, there were no SWS entries.
As things stand:
In the year just gone, we once again expanded our membersip, although Jatayu has just announced his retirement. The team project is totally dead, but never mind. Contests brought much success to the team, and a number of well received projects were released. Currently no plans to extend the team are afoot, although that may change soon. With luck, 2009 will bring even greater things to the team.
This has been a copy/paste production.
