As Mashek said, a nice, funny cinematic with witty moments. Congratulations.

I quite liked it. Definitely your best entry, with some slick composition. You have a good chance of winning (although I haven't seen the competition). Oddly for the first time with your scenarios I wondered if maybe there could have been a little more rather than quite a lot less talking and story development. Maybe a few more scenes with the heroes? It's fine as is though. Quick tip: The expression I think you're looking for is 'breaking and entering' rather than 'breaking an entry'. The term comes from an obsolete criminal offence.

Thanks! Aye, that would be it. If Mashek allows me to update it (don't remember if you're allowed to once it's up), I'll fix it. I thought you'd say that . It felt quite refreshing to write so little dialogue. I literarily took the critique I got from Gwyndlegard and other projects and took it to the other extreme, let the characters be cardboard cut-outs, favour humour and action over character development, and so on. And by 'extreme' I mean as far as I can go without having a nervous breakdown because the story isn't the core of the scenario anymore . It's not going to be my new standard, except maybe for other humorous cinematics, but it was fun to try something new. Or, well, not entirely new since I've done it with short stories and films, but I'd never done it in a scenario before. By the way, did you by any chance recognize the knight called Frederick?

It's fine to update before the deadline.

Good, thanks. I'll see if any more spelling mistakes or bugs pop up first though.

I think it's good for your writing generally to experiment with terse dialogue, but hope that in future you can reach the happy medium of an involved story and snappy dialogue. You're definitely improving in this regard.
Ah, yes.

Please do! And when you have, don't hesitate to review it, you know, now when you're on a reviewing spree.

Are you referring to me? Because I don't review cutscenes.

Well you ought to. But anyway; more importantly, did you like it?

Yeah, it was pretty good. But then that's what we expect from you. I really liked the comedy element to it.

I'd like to see Basse and Mashek design a joint scenario. It's interesting how it would turn out, seeing how dark and gloomy Mashek's works have always been, and we all know that there's always lively comedy in Basse's. ;D

You've cut down the enjoyment you get from playing scenaris by about 25 percent.

Now that would be something! Mashek makes the core story deep and intriguing, and I ruin the suspense by making all the side characters and common folks into loons and comic relief. Seriously though, it probably could work. Not right now though.

If it's a good scenario I always use marco polo, but only after I've beaten it properly first. I don't want to miss any good parts just because I finished the scenario too quickly.

I cant pass any scenario without cheats except the reign of blood in montezuma.Because its the only available scenario in demo version and I have played it like a thousand times. Also let me stop posting off-topic here.

lol, I tried straying from the dark and gloomy setting with Aethelflaed but I found in the end I just couldn't help myself and it has turned out to be rather sad in places, with much added rain effects. A joint scenario with all the SWS masters would be great.

I wish Von would come back with some time on his hands, so that we could finish and polish The Jaguar Gold. That was actually a co-op project that worked really well, up until it was discontinued... It would be quite fun to do something like that again sometime. Except this time finish it the same year we start it.

well,I always play on 800*600 resolution because it hurts my eyes if I set it on 1080* . But today when I was watching My Fair Princess,at some 10 minute mark, the screen shook violently and all the colors turned toxic.I know it was advised to view in High resolution but my monitor supports only upto 800*600.Any way to fix this?

Hmm.. No idea. Get a new monitor? ;D See: The members' only forums. Although yes, it would be fun. Was The Jaguar Gold maintaining a level of secrecy? I haven't seen any signs that it was a Co-op project.

Well, that isn't really the same kind of project. There isn't that much information about The Jaguar Gold out, save for the old website's project page and the WiP spotlight. Von and I did all the work over email and we didn't talk much about it at the forums. After the Co-op competition was cancelled we kept working on it for a while, still over email, and it's only now after we stopped working on it that so much information has come out, oddly enough. Apart for getting a bigger screen, no, not that I can think of. You can technically play the cinematic with a lower resolution, but you won't see all the things you're supposed to since the scenes are so wide.

I just watched this. I enjoyed it quite a lot. Made me laugh out loud in a lot of occasions, my favourite part being when that dude got run over by the car. Good work.

Great cutscene, though I was disappointed to not hear any voice acting from Sean Connery.
