What would be the uses of those exactly? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by a text-based 2D map.

I need some inputs from you guys... Apart from triggers, is there anything you would like to see text based Eg. a 2 D grid for the map or coordinates and starting frames for every unit, things like that? Or it wouldn't be worth the bother? I would love a txt file that had coordinates of the units. So much simpler than AoKTS. Think of the times you need 100 units spaced 0.3 tiles apart (ok I know many people never do, but hey I do). You could do that pretty fast in a text based program.

Ok, maybe I'll make one for the units later on, right now I am finishing with the triggers. Thanks.

Demo version can be downloaded here linkNo instructions and it is buggy, working with some scenarios and not with others. The reading part works fine though the writing doesn't. If you want to have a look. ( you need to have java installed to run )

May I suggest a feature that renames all triggers to no name? Renaming is pain when there are over 3000 triggers.

There is already a utility for that, called trigger burn or something

Are you going to finish this anytime soon? I just realised that it would save me from alot of tedious trigger work.
And thanks for Trigger Burn tip. Awesome program.

I will finish it in the spring break of March, ie in two weeks.
Did you try it out?

Ok, it's nearly finished. All the bugs have been ironed out, I just need to put some error correction in case the user writes a nonsense script.

ok... not that I would be impatient. I'm just bored because I have not much to do and would be awesome to get working on my scen again.

Alright... I removed some unusual characters from the script and the script editor succesfully imported it into the scenario.
However, it now crashes the game when I try to open it in AoK editor.
AoKTS couldn't open it either, giving a message that it is unrecognized format version and for stability's sake must discontinue reading the scenario.
I'm also wondering why the file size of the SCX almost doubles after I've imported the script into it, even though I made almost no changes at all to the script.

Hey.. I'll restart working on this project about 2 weeks from now when all my commitments are done.. I think I know what is wrong, because I didn't do any error handling. But I'll fix it later anyway.

Really? I thought it was amazingly user unfriendly and only submitted it because I just wasn't finding time to do any programming at all.

Well it is pretty unfriendly, but it still does something that nothing else does, which is worth something.

I thought the interface was fine. It could be improved, like having a GUI, but it served its purpose well.

You mentioned on AOK the lack of interest. Currently I'm not in the process of making anything but if I start triggering on something I'll deffo check this out.
However, I prefer working in the editor simply due to the fact I can see everything I'm doing and can work very specifically. I don't even use Trigger Studio due to this.
I havn't got to download this yet so how does it work when putting triggers into scenarios? Could I do certain triggers (Like when doing spell stuff and lots of formula type triggers) and then inport into the scenario and finish it off in the aok editor?

Jatayu, you run Windows 7, right? If so, I've got a problem which you may be able to help me fix.
Whenever I open the Script Editor Batch file, the cmd appears and closes instantly, like blinking. Might you suggest a way to fix it? If not, would it run if I opened it in Windows XP via Virtualbox?

Hi Watson
Can you do the following: Open accessories -> command prompt, then navigate to the directory, then enter the batch file name and press enter.
This is another way of running batch file.

After I direct it to the folder "Trigeditor" what am I supposed to write? I've tried writing out the name a few times each different but script editor doesn't seem to just register.
