I thought we could try a small forum game in this place. It's based on a parlour game called Taboo.
If you don't know how it works, someone is given a specific word (normally a noun) that they are not allowed to speak (or here, type). They must try to convey to the listeners what the word is, by describing what it means. For example if the word was 'frog' I might say 'small green amphibian'. You are allowed to make as many descriptive posts as you like until someone gets it. It's quite fun.
How it will work here is the first person to reply will be given a word by me, via PM. Then the game begins. When their word is guessed, they decide the next word and PM it to the person who guessed. And so on. Obviously the person who decided the word is not allowed to guess.
For the sake of making it interesting, don't post images or links that give it away.

Hehe, I remember this game. Taboo was the one that came with a buzzer, right?
Alright, as the first one to reply, you can give me the word.

Right, I have sent the word. Now we just wait for Turty.
Possibly, whenever I've played it there's been no equipment. It's one of the games that rich Victorians dreamt up for playing after dinner. Like charades.

A place on a house with chairs/whatever.
Elevated.
Oh, and when we're guessing, can we use Google?

Sounds like bollard (has no relationship to bollards), or somewhat close to it.
Where Rapunzel was when she let down her hair, just not on a castle.

I advise against it, it ruins the fun. Only if you're really desperate. And you're doing a great job so far.

I was going to say 'Tower' but that doesn't sound like bollard. EDIT: Argh, just can't quite think of it....

More specifically, not a word describing something as worthless but a word for the act of describing something as worthless

This ought to be funny, Basse. You're doing a fine job. (y) Let's see how long it'll take for them to guess this one.

Yeah, in future let's only have words that you could reasonably expect us lot to know.
And Basse, I think Andan already knew the word (it's one of the longest in the language and so some know it for novelty value).

Actually, I have already known that word some months ago, when I was browsing around youtube, then I came across an interview of this particular British trio alternative rock band. The vocalist uttered that word on the interview, and then, I searched the meaning of it for curiosity's sake. It took quite a while to figure out the correct spelling, let alone the true meaning. Anyway, what am I supposed to do next?
